For sale is a beautiful 1954 Martin D-18 in a stunning natural finish with a tortoise guard, dot inlays, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, original bridge plate reglued with non original compensated saddle, frets have been refretted, bridge pins and end pin. It’s totally crack-free (also, not even a “pick guard” crack). Was acquired in 100% original condition: bridge, saddle, bridge pins, tuners, everything. Just had a neck set– resulting in great action, and tone/projection. With new condition Martin hard shell case. I'm curious as to what a reasonable price for a nice 1954 D-18 in fairly original condition should be. I expect that a 66 year old Martin would probably have been refretted, neck reset, and maybe the bridge plate replaced.
